Pada bulan Juli 2011 Symantec meluncurkan kembali antivirusnya. Symantec Endpoint Protection v12.1 merupakan generasi penerus dan penyempurnaan dari symantec sebelumnya. menurut situs resminya, antivirus ini sudah dibundling dengan beberapa system protection, terutama untuk proteksi di internet.
meskipun tergolong antivirus yang lumayan mahal, kemampuan symantec setara dengan harganya. namun, tak ada gading yang tak retak, antivirus sehebat apapun pasti masih bisa dijebol oleh virus. tapi sebagai upya pencegahan, penulis menyarankan antivirus ini dibandingkan dengan antivirus yang lain.
